The ministry operates child and Youth development centers in many districts within the eastern part of Uganda. We currently have 3 job vacancies in Syonga, Buwembe, Buyanga, Busia district child and Youth Development Center as Listed below;
Position Core Duties & Responsibilities Requirements
Project Director (PD) Vacancies: 1  Station : Syonga CFM   The project Director shall be the team leader of the project staff. He /she is expected to offer knowledge, guidance and technical  skills to children, child development committees, church, parents and fellow project workers in areas of spiritual development,  project planning and budgeting, comprehensive health care, social development and academic advancement. He /she is to ensure that all programmatic financial and sponsor service aspects of the project are managed efficiently and effectively. Act as the accounting officer for all Project funds, ensuring that all funds are used for their intended purpose and in adherence to the set policies. Supervise the Implementation of the approved project plan and budget with monthly assessments done in conjunction with other stakeholders. Submit monthly reports to the Overseer, the Child Development Committee and other Partners as required. Must be a mature Born Again Christian with proven integrity and  passion for child ministryBachelor’s degree holder in related field of social works,  education, Business Administration, development studies3 years’ minimum experience in working with childrenMUST have knowledge in computer skills, project managementSkills in financial managementAge: 25-40
Child Development  Officer- Health (CDO-Health) Vacancies: 1  Station :Syonga CFM     Serves as an advocate for children and their caregivers who live in poverty and are not able to speak out for themselvesImplements the day- to-day running of the project health activities for the achievement of physical development outcomes. Initiates generation of the annual health work plan and coordinates its implementation with emphasis on prevention of diseases among the beneficiaries. Coordinates health screening for project children and Child Survival Program mothers. Coordinates medical care and distribution of provisions to the identified beneficiaries such as children and caregivers. Ensures proper documentation and record keeping of all health related issues for the beneficiaries with utmost confidentiality. • Responsible for the physical, cognitive and economic development of the sponsored children. Plans and coordinates health related trainings, information, education and communication (IEC) to the project management, caregivers and children. Acts as consultant on all health issues that affect children and the community by using his or her experience and expertise to challenge, motivate, sensitize and equip the church on ways of preventing diseases, immunization of children, celebration of health days as well as dealing with epidemics.Current project staff serving as CDO’s are encouraged to apply for the Project Director position through their overseers. Must be a mature Born Again Christian with a sound testimony.Must have a professional background in; nursing, primary healthcare, community health, clinical medicine, social work administration. Minimum qualification will be a diploma or its equivalent. Must have good interpersonal skills. Experience and current knowledge of HIV/AIDS intervention will be an added Advantage. Formal training in counselling and child Good written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills. Age: 22-35.
Child Development officer (CDO Home based programming) Vacancies: 1  Station :Syonga CFM     Ensure access to quality healthcare, immunization, and nutrition for children under 5 years oldSupport pregnant women with prenatal care, safe delivery, and postnatal care.Provide education and support for proper nutrition, breastfeeding, and food securityPromote access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene practices.Educate and involve communities in child survival effortsTrain local healthcare workers, volunteers, and partners Track program progress, identify gaps and adjust strategies Must be a mature Born Again Christian with a sound testimony.Certificate in program management, public health, or related field.Passion for child health and well-beingStrong knowledge of child health, nutrition, and survival programsAt least 3-5 years of experience in child health, nutrition, or related programs.Age: 22-35.
